5 Tips for Creating the Best Website Content Strategy

Above all, it should look good, the user interface should be precise and you should find a way to say what you need to say in as few words as possible.

Believe it or not, after 20 years of designing websites, it’s not a small operation to create something that displays these boxes. It takes patience, dedication, and several special skills that cannot be mastered.

So I want to share some of what I’ve learned over the last 20 years. In this article, we’ll show you how to create the most effective content strategy for your website and make sure your site doesn’t go anywhere and goes in the right direction.

How to build the best content strategy for your website 1) Analyze your brand A good content strategy for your website needs a good foundation, just like home. So you need to look at your brand first. This is the basis on which all parts of the website are based. A comprehensive analysis of the brand covers many aspects, including the evaluation of the target audience, the unique points of sale, and the dissatisfaction of potential customers.

When analyzing a brand, you should ask yourself a few questions.

Who are my main competitors? What are the characteristics of my ideal client? How do you build an emotional relationship with this audience? What words can you use to make this emotional connection? What kind of images can you use to evoke an emotional response? Why would anyone do business with me and not compete with me? What specific problems should your ideal client solve or meet? What challenges, barriers, or issues are your potential facing? Please be as precise as possible when answering this question. The more information, the better. Once you’ve done this analysis, you have everything you need to start creating content.

2) Be specific. One of the most frustrating things for entrepreneurs is trying to figure out how to get the message across shortly and straightforwardly. When we write or design something, it always seems logical to us, but no matter how attractive or concise we find it, it is important for potential consumers to accept it.

Therefore, an initial analysis of the brand is very important. It is a way to get into the mind of your ideal client and try to understand things from his point of view.

For example, I recently worked with a team on the website of a payment processing company. One of the things we want to focus on on the front page is to differentiate them from our competitors.

However, I had to go back to the drawing board because the fact that it was a payment processing site was hidden by the haste of these points. So be as specific as possible and don’t expect your audience to understand what you’re trying to convey.

First of all, we have to look at it from the perspective of potential consumers. Read also: Use SEO to inform your site’s content strategy

3) You need to be short The question right now is, “Why is it so important to be short?” the question may arise.

I’m sure many of you are familiar with Microsoft’s famous study of human interest, but for those who don’t know, I’ll explain.

In 2015, Microsoft Canada conducted a study that sought to analyze people’s attention through a combination of games, questionnaires, and neurological studies performed using electroencephalography to monitor brain activity. The study had a few key points, but in the end, all the interest (and Microsoft got all the credit) was given to a research organization called Brain of Statistics that Microsoft referred to in the study.

According to these data, according to Brain Statistics, the average attention span of humans is about 8 seconds, which is shorter than the average attention span of goldfish. In other words, you have about 8 seconds to get a potential customer’s attention before they click on your site.

That’s why you should limit your text to as many sentences as possible when copying websites. Unfortunately, people don’t like to read, and when they look at most texts, their eyes twinkle and they don’t read.

So when writing content for your site, try to be as short as possible and use as few words as possible. 4) Pay attention to your customers. A favorite activity of many business owners is to create everything about themselves and their brand.

Ultimately, what your customers want from your site is to get their attention and let them know what you can do for them.
