Archeologists digging in the ground

The four friends in this story go to the same school. They are all members of their school’s archeology club.

Archeology is the study of how people lived many years ago. Archeologists digging in the ground. They try to find the things which people used and the places where they lived.

The four friends are on holiday from their school. In Britain; most schools divide their year into three terms. These terms are separated by long holidays at Christmas Easter and in the middle of the summer. But there is also a short holiday halfway through each term. This is called a half-term holiday.

In this story. The friends are helping at an archeological site dig. At these sites, archeologists dug in the ground. They try to find things that tell them about the lives of people in the past.
